A flooding sensation on entry drives dark fruits onto the mid-palate with touches of savory, fennel and licorice as complements. Long on the finish, the espresso bean and continued concentration of blackberry throughout fades slowly with gentle and soft tannins."

"Like many things at Orin Swift, what started as a fascination quickly turned into an obsession. Samantha Smith, Dave Phinney’s longtime executive assistant (read: chauffeur, gopher, right-hand ma’am, therapist, etc.), managed amidst her daytime job to multitask away at a book, Advice From John—an anthology of the brilliant, idiotic, and sometimes deep thoughts found at the bottom of a cocktail and then subsequently scribbled and scrawled onto the walls of dive bar bathrooms.

“You Had Me At Hell No,” captured at a dive in Texas, caught Dave’s eye while ruminating ideas on how to bring Merlot back into the mainstream fold—long pilloried for its second of fame in that movie two decades ago. All good things circle back around, so let’s revitalize this delicious, luscious, and fun varietal."

Our shipping rates are less expensive when you purchase in 6 bottle increments. 

An adult signature (21+)  is required at time of delivery for all orders. FedEx does not make exceptions and will not leave alcohol deliveries without an adult receiving the package at the time of delivery. 

We currently only ship within the state of Florida (FedEx Ground). In most cases, we only ship orders out on Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday so orders placed later in the week will get held until Monday. 

We do not ship large bottles and most small bottles. Items that are not available for shipping will have a note in the description and are priced ending in .98. If bottles that we do not ship are in your shopping cart at checkout, an error message will appear stating which bottle should be removed before proceeding with checkout. 

Delivery addresses:
We encourage all customers to have orders shipped to a FedEx pickup location, which includes Walgreens. You can search for the location nearest to you here and use that as your shipping address at checkout. Please be sure that the location came up in the FedEx locator as some locations may not participate. The order must be retrieved from the FedEx location within 5 business days or it gets returned to us (at added customer expense, see below). A business address is also preferable. We do ship to residential addresses but please be sure that an adult will be home to sign for it on the first attempt. FedEx will make 3 attempts to deliver your package before it is sent back. 

We cannot ship to PO Boxes, APO/FPO addresses, or addresses outside of Florida. 

Damages:
If any bottles are damaged in transit please email us at info@sakayasake.com with images of the damage and we will refund those items. In most cases we can only refund and not replace any damages. We need to be notified of any damages within 48 hours of delivery. Sakaya will not be held liable for damages to orders due to weather conditions during shipping. Potential exposure to extreme heat may damage items during shipping.

Delivery address change fee:
If you need to change the delivery address and the package is already in the possession of FedEx we will need to collect the following fees that FedEx charges. Less than 120 miles from  the original destination is $5.55. Greater than 120 miles from the original destination is $14.50. 

Returned order fee:
For any orders that are returned to us because no one was home to receive it (or it was not retrieved in time from the FedEx location) we will issue a refund minus the full shipping cost that FedEx charged us to ship it to you (which will likely be higher than the shipping charge paid at checkout). And minus the full cost of the expense that FedEx charged us for it to be shipped back to us.

Customer errors:
In the event that someone orders an incorrect item(s) and it is no fault of our own, we will need to collect the full return shipment amount that FedEx charges us, along with the full amount that FedEx charges in order to send the correct items. Any mistakes on our part will be resolved at our expense.
